So, we live in Texas. We understand this has certain implications----one of which being that we willl most likely never shovel snow again. Yeah! This also may mean that our kids will never get to make snow angels, have a snowball fight or make a real snowman. Keeping this in mind, I decided to seize the moment this morning and do what I can to help the kids experience winter--Texas-style. Yesterday it got up to 85 degrees._--Yeah I know it's December. Then in true Texas weather fashion the wind started blowing and within a few hours it had dropped 50 degrees. ---I'm serious. Anyway, after we got out of Tanner's Christmas program for his school, it was sleeting, which turned into 1/2 an hour of Texas miracle--SNOW. The boys and I made a "snowman." It's rudimentary construction was the result of working fast. That puppy was melting FAST! (He's now watering the tree with as much water as a 8 inch Longhorn snowman could provide.) Also-yes, Tanner is tucking his shirt in during the middle of the program. He did great, we're so proud. P.S. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY--I LOVE YOU!

I am impressed!!! He is a marvelous snow-midget. (Oops, I forgot to be P.C. --- Snow-Little-snowperson)
We scraped the ice off of the fencepost and ended up with a tiny snowball--Then Abrielle threw it and it was over. We went inside for Hot Chocolate and called it a winter!
He's just precious. And just think, no time to get frostbite! That's the kind of winter I could enjoy....
Love it! I just hope that snow doesn't come around when we're there! I need some sun!
I was surprized to hear that you all got snow. I never saw snow the few years we lived in Texas. I'm glad your kids got to have fun with the experience. We got a ton of snow today, and more on the way tomorrow.
That is so funny. Love the story. I think it is great you seized the moment to make your snowman. Love the photos! :) Hope you are ready for Christmas. Have a Merry one!!! Miss you guys!
